On the use of the word Profoundly by The Catholic Church.

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly.

I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended. And through the infinite merit of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.

The is the 2nd Fatima Prayer.

In other forms it was in the Raccolta until Pope Paul VI "reformed" (Blowed-up) The Raccolta in1968 and replaced it

A new use for profoundly: In the light of such teaching, this Dicastery, in accord with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, believes it necessary to state clearly that the Church, while profoundly respecting the persons in question [9] , cannot admit to the seminary or to holy orders those who practise homosexuality, present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called "gay culture"

Pope Benedict XVI decided not only to allow Homosexuals into seminaries he said The Catholic Church profoundly respects homosexuals.

And people wonder why Francis permits homosexual couples to be blessed.

If they are to be profoundly respected, ought they not also to be blessed?
