Catholic vs Protestant Worship
The 16th century Protestant LUZR's, (Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, and other Revolutionaries), dethroned Jesus and chased Him out of the Sanctuary. *
Now, I have nothing against the progeny of the protestant progenitors. They are doing their level best to study Scripture and attend Sunday services and they try and follow Jesus.
However, not one in one million know the truth about the 16th century LUZR's.
Malachias 1 prophesied ...
For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts.
But, the protestant revolutionaries falsified Scripture substituting incense for Sacrifice and pure offering for oblation (and also heathen for gentile):
King James Version: For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
It is clear they absolutely had no love for Scripture when it came to a Prophesy their ideology rejected. They simply falsified Scripture to cement their revolution which abandoned the Commands of Jesus vis a vis Worship.. Now, is there one in one hundred million well-intended protestant who knows this?

NO.
We must preach it to them.
But, since the Second Vatican Council, Ecumenism in the Catholic Church has focused on what unites us - The Christian Catholics and The Christian UnChurched -rather than what divides us and the absolute requirement that the Christian UnChurched convert to Catholicism so as to be able to participate in the Holy Holocaust of The Mass and to offer worthy worship to God as Jesus commanded us to do.
How often have I heard it said - "I like to worship God in my own way" - while thinking to my own self - Yes, I know. That is the problem. You were taught that worshipping God your way is the right way but it is exactly the wrong way because it is your way and not His way.
But you ought to worship God the way He commanded you to worship Him.
The Catholic Church seems more interested in emotions than Ecclesiology; the Catholic Church seems more interested in developing friendships than Doctrinal Defense; The Catholic Church seems timorous in the face of the false fear that a defense of Doctrine will mean an end to Dialogue; well, what if it does mean an end to Dialogue?
Is maintaining Dialogue more important than Defending Doctrine and explaining it to those who have been cheated out of their birthright as Christians?
We must preach the truth about Worship to Protestants precisely because they have been denied their birthright
as Baptised Christians. As Baptised Christians, they are related, imperfectly, to the Church.
However, their Protestant worship is a worship without Sacrifice and the plain and simple truth is their worship. a worship without Sacrifice, can not be pleasing to God because it was God Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, who taught us how man ought worship God in the unbloody Holy Sacrifice of The Mass. #
For Catholic and Orthodox, our Churches are permeated with the Odor of Sanctity because ours is not only the Worship Prophesied by Malachias, it is the Worship Malachias Prophesied and then was Perfected by Jesus and He Commanded His Apostles to Worship this way as The Way until the end of time.
At a Catholic Holy Holocaust/Orthodox Divine Liturgy, it is the action of Jesus, as Priest, Victim, Meal, which is the focus and essence of Worship.
In a protestant service, it is solely the action of man - reading and commenting upon scripture and singing hymns and praising God. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, in and of itself.
HOWEVER, there IS something wrong with that protestant worship service in that Our Lord and Saviour has been excised from the exercise. Protestants tells us the works of man are bloody rags. By their own words they are condemned. Their service is solely about the work of man (bloody rags) as their Protestant Progenitors jettisoned the Sacrifice, Priesthood, Eucharist and rejected Apostolic Succession, Eucharist, Mass etc and substituted man and his will in their place.
What IS acceptable to God as Worship? Bloody Rags or the PluPerfect Holy Holocaust of the New Covenant?
They need to hear the truth. And I will preach it to them
Mass is the action wherein Jesus, acting through The Priesthood He established, offers Himself as a Victim to God in Heaven as an act of propitiation so as to satisfy the just anger against us for our innumerable sins and to call down upon us the Grace of God and we Redeemed Christians at Mass offer-up our Adoration, Petitions, Thanksgiving, and Reparations which are swept-up by The Holy Ghost so as to be subsumed into the unbloody Pluperfect Sacrifice of The Holy Holocaust in The New Covenant, whereby they become acceptable offerings, and then us redeemed Christian Catholics consume Jesus, Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Pluperfect Meal of The New Covenant.
Trent: CHAPTER I
; THE INSTITUTION OF THE MOST HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS Since under the former Testament, according to the testimony of the Apostle Paul, there was no perfection because of the weakness of the Levitical priesthood, there was need, God the Father of mercies so ordaining, that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchisedech, our Lord Jesus Christ, who might perfect and lead to perfection as many as were to be sanctified. He, therefore, our God and Lord, though He was by His death about to offer Himself once upon the altar of the cross to God the Father that He might there accomplish an eternal redemption, nevertheless, that His priesthood might not come to an end with His death, at the last supper, on the night He was betrayed, that He might leave to His beloved spouse the Church a visible sacrifice, such as the nature of man requires, whereby that bloody sacrifice once to be accomplished on the cross might be represented, the memory thereof remain even to the end of the world, and its salutary effects applied to the remission of those sins which we daily commit, declaring Himself constituted a priest forever according to the order of Melchisedech, offered up to God the Father His own body and blood under the form of bread and wine, and under the forms of those same things gave to the Apostles, whom He then made priests of the New Testament, that they might partake, commanding them and their successors in the priesthood by these words to do likewise: Do this in commemoration of me, as the Catholic Church has always understood and taught. For having celebrated the ancient Passover which the multitude of the children of Israel sacrificed in memory of their departure from Egypt, He instituted a new Passover, namely, Himself, to be immolated under visible signs by the Church through the priests in memory of His own passage from this world to the Father, when by the shedding of His blood He redeemed and delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into his kingdom. And this is indeed that clean oblation which cannot be defiled by any unworthiness or malice on the part of those who offer it; which the Lord foretold by Malachias was to be great among the Gentiles, and which the Apostle Paul has clearly indicated when he says, that they who are defiled by partaking of the table of devils cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, understanding by table in each case the altar. It is, finally, that [sacrifice] which was prefigured by various types of sacrifices during the period of nature and of the law, which, namely, comprises all the good things signified by them, as being the consummation and perfection of them all. |
And inasmuch as in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the mass is contained and immolated in an unbloody manner the same Christ who once offered Himself in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross, the holy council teaches that this is truly propitiatory and has this effect, that if we, contrite and penitent, with sincere heart and upright faith, with fear and reverence, draw nigh to God, we obtain mercy and find grace in seasonable aid. For, appeased by this sacrifice, the Lord grants the grace and gift of penitence and pardons even the gravest crimes and sins. For the victim is one and the same, the same now offering by the ministry of priests who then offered Himself on the cross, the manner alone of offering being different. The fruits of that bloody sacrifice, it is well understood, are received most abundantly through this unbloody one, so far is the latter from derogating in any way from the former. Wherefore, according to the tradition of the Apostles, it is rightly offered not only for the sins, punishments, satisfactions and other necessities of the faithful who are living, but also for those departed in Christ but not yet fully purified.

The Catholic Church, not wishing to offend, is not being forthright about the cataclysmic deficiencies in Protestant worship services and the galactic-sized distance that exists twixt their worship services and the way that Jesus Christ commanded we worship God. The Catholic Mass is the action of Jesus, as Priest, Victim, and Paschal Banquet, and the Protestant worship service is the action of man. It is time this truth is spoken about in a clear and consistent voice.
Our protestant brothers and sisters deserve to hear the truth.
Their immortal souls hunger for the truth; that is the way God created their souls, endowed with Will, Intellect, and Memory and with an appetite for the truth.

CARITATIS STUDIUM
ENCYCLICAL OF POPE LEO XIII
ON THE CHURCH IN SCOTLAND |
Given at St. Peter's, Rome, the 25th day of July, in the year 1898, and the twenty-first of Our Pontificate
9. We know that many of the Scottish people, who do not agree with us in faith, sincerely love the name of Christ, and strive to ascertain His doctrine and to imitate His most holy example. But how can they obtain what they are striving for, if they do not allow themselves to be taught heavenly things in the way prescribed by Jesus Christ Himself; if they do not give heed to the Church whose precepts they are commanded to obey by the Author of faith as if they were His own: "He who heareth you heareth me; he who despiseth you despiseth me"; if they do not seek the nourishment of their souls, and the sustenance of all virtue, from him whom the Supreme Pastor of souls made His vicegerent, to whom He confided the care of the universal Church? In the meantime We are resolved not to fail in doing Our share, and especially to be constant in fervent prayer, that God may move their minds to what is good, and vouchsafe to impart to them the most powerful impulses of His grace. May the Divine clemency, thus earnestly implored by Us, grant to the Church that supreme consolation of speedily embracing the whole Scottish people, restored to the faith of their forefathers "in spirit and in truth." What incalculable blessings would not accrue to them, if they were once more united to us? Perfect and absolute truth would everywhere shine forth, together with the inestimable gifts which were forfeited by separation. There is one amongst all others, the loss of which is more deplorable than words can express; We allude to the most holy Sacrifice in which Jesus Christ, both Priest and Victim, daily offers Himself to His Father, through the ministry of His priests on earth. By virtue of this Sacrifice the infinite merits of Christ, gained by His Precious Blood shed once upon the Cross for the salvation of men, are applied to our souls. This belief prevailed among the Scottish people in St. Columba's day and in subsequent ages, when your grand and majestic cathedrals were raised throughout the land, which still testify to the art and piety of your ancestors. 10. Now the very essence of Religion implies Sacrifice. For the perfection of Divine Worship is found in the submissive and reverent acknowledgment that God is the Supreme Lord of all things, by Whose power we and all our belongings exist. This constitutes the very nature of Sacrifice, which, on this account, is emphatically called a "thing Divine." If Sacrifices are abolished, Religion can neither exist nor be conceived. The Evangelical Law is not inferior, but superior, to the Old Law. It brings to perfection what the Old Law had merely begun. But the Sacrifice of the Cross was prefigured by the sacrifices of the Old Covenant long before the Birth of Jesus Christ; and after His Ascension, the same Sacrifice is continued by the Eucharistic Sacrifice. They greatly err, therefore, who reject this doctrine, as if it diminished the reality and efficacy of the Sacrifice which Christ offered on the Cross. He "was offered once to exhaust the sins of many" (Heb. ix., 28). That atonement for the sins of men was absolutely complete: nor is there any other atonement besides that of the Cross in the Eucharistic Sacrifice. As Religion must ever be accompanied by a sacrificial rite, it was the Divine counsel of the Redeemer that the Sacrifice of the Cross should be perpetuated. This perpetuity is in the most Holy Eucharist, which is not an empty similitude or a mere commemoration, but the very Sacrifice flows from the death of Christ: "For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles" (Mal. i. 2). |
Not one Catholic alive today can imagine our current Pope Leo teaching this:
