Jury Duty

It prolly is not a good idea to speak in generalities but the 100 man jury pool I was selected for was teeming with morons, inbred idiots, and those aspiring to low brow status.

The Voir Dire (French for search for 12 imbecilic jurors who can be emotionally manipulated) was excruciatingly long (two days) and listening to the answers of my fellow Floridians reminded me again of the folly of democracy - all them bastids vote.

Like all others in the jury pool, I was asked if I could listen objectively to the cops and the defendant (clearly guilty of murder as could be determined by the sifting questions of the professional liars; i.e. the defense team) and give equal weight to their testimony.

I said, no, I would give more weight to the cop's testimony while the rest of the jury pool lied their asses off saying they could be objective.

One of the questions the yuge defense lawyer asked was - If a defendant had robbed a clothing store 100 hundred times and was being charged with robbing a clothing store, could you be objective?

Most of the liars in the jury pool (at least I hope they were lying) answered, yes, but that was just virtue signaling and trying to win the approval of a Judge who, outside the court room, would not be found dead talking to them.

The one good thing that came out of this was that I got a chance to spread the word about the legal doctrine of Nullification. 

Telling others about this is the sole pleasure to be derived from Jury Duty.
